What We Collect
When you create a price alert, we store:
- Your email address
- Your alert preferences (RAM type, capacity, price threshold)
That's it. No names, no accounts, no passwords.
Why We Collect It
Solely to send you price alert emails when RAM prices drop below your chosen threshold. We also send a single renewal reminder two weeks before your alert expires.
How Long We Keep It
Alerts automatically expire and are deleted after 6 months. When an alert is deleted, the associated email address is permanently removed from our database. You can renew your alert before it expires if you'd like to keep it active.
How to Delete Your Data
You can delete your alert and email address at any time:
- Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any alert email
- Or do nothing — your data is automatically purged after 6 months
Cookies & Analytics
RAMTRACK uses Umami, a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics tool. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across sites. It records only anonymous page view counts. The site also uses localStorage in your browser to remember your local alert preferences. This data never leaves your device.
Third-Party Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties. Emails are sent via our self-hosted Postal instance — no external email services are involved.
Data Processing
All data is processed and stored on our own infrastructure. Price data is sourced from publicly available pricing information.
Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:
- Access your data — your alert details are visible in every email we send
- Delete your data — via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us
- Portability — your data consists only of email + alert preferences, included in every notification
- Object to processing — unsubscribe at any time
